Cards that Sparkle & Shine!
Cards are simple and
fun. Here are three elegant designs that
feature gel-a-tins™ Sparkle & Shine
clear stamps and papers from our December
2005 Scraptivity™ kit!
You Shine Card
- Make the card base
from cream cardstock.
- Stamp
"shine" in Celadon ink for flower
centre. Stamp flower in dark purple. Stamp
pink flowers with yellow spiral centres on
either side of purple flower. Let the stamps
run off the edges of the card.
- Chalk around the
flowers with dark pink.
- Tear the bottom edge
of the card. Attach floral patterned paper
to the underside of the front of the card.
The patterned paper should line up with the
former edge of the card.
- Attach a brad to the
card to form the dot of the "i" in
"shine."
- Print or stamp the
letters "you," and cut out each
letter individually. Attach to the card with
pop dots.
Sparkle Card
- Make the card base
from mustard cardstock. Using star stamps
from July 2005 and December 2005 kits, stamp
stars on background with VersaMark.
- Stamp “sparkle”
on cream cardstock with dark purple ink. Cut
out. Attach to scrap piece of pink vellum.
Attach vellum to scrap of floral patterned
paper, leaving a small border around the
edge.
- Handcut a piece of
transparency large enough to cover the
matted vellum. Ink the edges of the
transparency with purple ink. Let dry.
- With pale purple
thread, stitch three sides of the
transparency to the matted vellum to make a
pocket. Fill the pocket with glitter and
microbeedz from the July 2005 kit. Stitch
the pocket closed to make a
"shaker."
- Attach the shaker to
the card base.
Joy Card
-
Create card base
from cream cardstock.
- Stitch with pale
purple thread or glue a strip of floral
patterned paper.
- Stamp “joy” in
yellow and flower frame in pink on cream
cardstock. Trim and attach to card with pop
dots.
- Attach green sheer
ribbon and tuck under floral patterned paper
and under joy flower.
- Doodle flowers in
various sizes and color with marker or
colored pencil. Trim and attach to card with
pop dots.
