Creative Director Rhonda Steed has created three card designs using our Scraptivity™ holiday kit. Her designs are simple and elegant and can be used with any type of holiday paper.

Card Style One

  1. Cut 12” x 12” dark green cardstock into two 5.5” x 12” pieces. Fold one 5.5” x 12” piece into a tri-fold card, as shown in photo
  2. Cut one 0.5” strip of Paper Fever Stocking Stripes patterned paper for each card. Cut three equal sized 3.5” x 3” squares of light green cardstock and three equal sized 3.25” x 2.75” squares of funky, Paper Fever Christmas tree patterned paper
  3. Adhere with strong adhesive, Christmas tree paper into light green squares and adhere them both to the three sections of the card alternating closer to left and right sides (Fig. 1)
  4. If desired, sew beside Christmas tree patterned paper and on light green cardstock squares large straight stitch with sewing machine as shown in photo
  5. Figure 1 Adhere stocking stripes strip in 5/8” from left-hand edge. Cut and adhere 2 3/8” (0.375”) of light red cardstock across the top of section A and the bottom of section B in 0.5” from the edge. Add plain snap where the red strips overlap the stocking stripe strip
  6. Cut a 2.5” x 1.5” tag out of pink and white cardstock. And adhere to the left side of the card also in sections A and C. Place white snowflake and mini-snap into tags
  7. Position Happy Holiday rub-on on top tag in section A, first rubbing on Holidays and then adding happy overlapping a bit
  8. Write your own holiday greeting on extra 0.5” strips of pink or white cardstock across section B. Stamp on “with love” from the Scrapitivty’s™ Time Acrylic stamps or write your own
Holiday Card 2

Card Style Two

  1. Cut 12” x 12” dark green cardstock into two 5.5” x 12” pieces. Fold a 5.5” x 12” piece into a tri-fold card, as shown in photo
  2. Ink edges of card with black ink, rubbing along all folds and edges lightly and quickly
  3. Cut one 3.5” square of dark red cardstock and one slightly smaller light green square. Using scraps of the Paper Fever Stocking Strips and the Funky Christmas tree patterned paper along with the pink and white cardstock, cover areas of the green cardstock square in any random pattern. Sewed seams together if desired
  4. Using glue dots, adhere three 0.5” strips of white or pink cardstock starting 0.5” from the edge on section A, along section B and onto section C ending in various lengths. (Fig 2) First ink edges if desired
  5. Cut out a large letter H or any Christmas shape (for example a stocking or tree) in the red cardstock square with your exacto knife. If you are using a computer to print out your pattern, make sure you print out a mirror image on the back of the square
  6. Adhere the “quilted” light green square so that it is tilted a bit and overlap the cutout shape or letter on top, so that they are not lined up, as show in photo
  7. Figure 2 merry
  8. Cut 3” x 1.5” rectangle of light green cardstock, ink all edges and add centered below the three strips in section B
  9. Using you eyelet setter, place snowflake eyelet into top left hand corner of the red stencil. Add Making Memories “Happy Holidays” rub-on to lower right hand corner of the stencil
  10. Add personal Holiday greeting to strips in sections B and C and sign card in light green rectangle
Holiday Card 3 - Figure 3

Card Style Three

  1. Cut 12” x 12” dark green cardstock into two 5.5” x 12” pieces. Fold 5.5” x 12” piece into a tri-fold card making sections 4.25”, 4.5” and 2.25”. Fold cardstock so textured side is out (Fig. 3 and 4)
  2. Cut a 2.25” x 12” strip of stocking stripes patterned paper and one 0.75” x 12” strip of red cardstock
  3. Add two snowflake eyelets on the back of the card. Punch Section C’s eyelet hole in 0.375” (3/8“) and place in eyelet. It should be close to the edge. Section A’s eyelet should be placed in 0.875” (7/8“) in from the fold of section B
  4. Adhere strip of Paper Fever Stocking Stripes patterned paper and strip of red cardstock along the bottom section on the inside of the card
  5. Figure 4
  6. On a self healing mat and using your exacto knife, cut out a rectangle of the card measuring 2” x 3.5” in section A. The hole should be in 0.5” from the top and 0.5” in from the right-hand side and 1.5” from the bottom. Cut hard, since you will be cutting through multiple layers
  7. Using a fine tip marker, write “Hope you have a…” continuously around the newly cut hole
  8. Position the Making Memories “Happy Holidays” rub-on through the hole onto section B, on the green cardstock area. (Right above the strips of patterned paper and cardstock previously added)
  9. Add your personal message inside the card on section C
