Everyday Inspirations

Have you ever stopped and sat down to
take in your surroundings? I mean really take in your
surroundings. Taking deep breaths and just smelling the
air? Looking closely at what you
might not have noticed before?
Listening carefully for sounds
that have always been there but
you have not taken the time to
notice before?
If you
have, how does it affect how you
scrapbook? Taking in these
moments not only makes the
simpler times sweeter but also
helps me realize that I want to
capture these moments in my
layouts to look at in years to
come.
Before
becoming a scrap booker I would
never have thought of taking a
picture of a fly, I probably
wouldn’t stop to take a picture
of my daughter’s hairline just
to remember how pretty those
little wisps were. Before I was
a scrap booker I would have
gotten angry when my son played
in mud instead of getting my
camera! I definitely would not
have taken a picture of our
greasy pizza! But I did. How
has being a scrap booker changed
you?
Do you scrap strictly the big
events or do you strive to find
new and interesting ways to see
something in a new light? Do you
see elements of scrap booking in
everyday moments? Texture,
colour, lighting and life are
our inspiration. Once you
have created your everyday
inspiration project, post
in our "Show." |
