Wrap up your holiday pics in a mini-album
Noel Album
Creative Directors Vicki Boutin and Michelle Engel share two great mini-album designs to capture your holiday memories.

Vicki’s mini-album opens in a cross shape. Start with a 12” x 12“ piece of cardstock and trim so when fully open, your middle square is 5” x 5“, top and left flaps are 5” x 4“ and the bottom and right flaps are 5” x 2“. When closed, this book is 5” x 5“ in size.
To create her cover, Vicki applies texture paste using a circle stencil. When dry, rub ink pad directly on the paste. Hammer back side of bottle cap and adhere sticker and add journaling and ribbon.
Christmas Meaning Album
Michelle’s album uses transparency sheets to layer images.
How to make the album
To make the album, cut two 9” x 4.5“ pieces of Loafer Brown cardstock by Artic Frog and glue the same size piece of Artic Frog’s Starburst patterned paper to the back. Fold the pages in half to make the book, punch a hole through to tie with ribbon. Also use a staple on the fold to keep the book together.
How to make the cover
Adjust brightness level of a picture so it’s very light, then print a title or quote directly on top. Trim photo to 3.5“ x 3.5”.
Mount the picture on Artic Frog’s Tank Top Squares paper and staple gold, red and brown ribbon to the bottom right-hand side of the picture. Ink edges of the Tank Top Squares paper and glue to the cover. Print a full colour mini-picture and mount on white cardstock with inked edges.

On page 2, Michelle mounted WorldWin’s Light Outdoorsy Olive cardstock and then glued a small square photo on top. On page 3, she printed her picture on a transparency and adjusted the brightness to lighten the photo and then layered a second transparency with brown journaling on top. Both transparencies are on a white cardstock mat.

On page 4, cut a star from the Artic Frog Starburst paper and glue to the top, left corner. Michelle’s picture is mounted on Outdoorsy Light cardstock. On page 5, mount photo on Tank Top paper with inked edges and then on Light Outdoorsy Olive cardstock.

Print journaling on strips of Light Outdoorsy Olive cardstock and attach with gold brads. To hide the back of the brads, be sure to mount the picture on page 5 after you have set your journaling strips.
