Make Your Own "Recordable" Circle
Journal
Creative Director Kerry Zerff puts a new spin on a circle journal. Create your own CD journal to capture
your favourite songs or pictures. A perfect gift idea!
Decorate the CD and make its pocket
- Randomly stamp a clear Scraptivity™ music stamp in red and black StazOn ink on a CD. Leave
to the side to dry.
- Cut cream cardstock to 6” x 6”
- Cut burgundy cardstock to 5” x 6”
- Cut a portion of Creative Imagination’s Music transparency to 5” x 6”
- Machine stitch the inside edge of the burgundy cardstock and attach to cream cardstock with
adhesive ONLY on three sides to create a pocket
- Attach the transparency to burgundy
cardstock with adhesive ONLY on
three sides to create another pocket
Create the tag Insert – Play list
Computer generate onto cream cardstock. Trim to 3 ½ x 4 ¾. Mat onto black
cardstock. Add black and grey fibers to the topside of the tag using staples
that were previously inked with black StazOn.
Create a journaling pocket
- Cut cream cardstock to 6” x 6”
- Cut burgundy cardstock to 5” x 6”
- Cut music patterned paper to 4” x 5.5” and attach to burgundy paper using a temporary adhesive to keep in place for sewing. Machine stitch around the edges
- Use a Versamark ink pad to randomly stamp in the center of the patterned paper. Add gold embossing powder and heat set
- Press a small Scraptivity™ music note clear rubber stamp onto a scrap of cream cardstock and attach to page with staples inked with black StazOn
- Attach small photo on top of gold embossed portion of the patterned paper
- Handwrite “Rock Star (wannabe)”, or other phrase, underneath the photo. Add music nail head
- Score 1/4” in from the left side of the burgundy cardstock. Run a bead of glue down the inside of the small strip and attach to the cream cardstock. When the glue is dry add brads at one inch
intervals.
- Inside, create a pocket to hold journaling tags or hand journal on the inside
