Creative Director Wendy Kubota creates three simple sketch ideas to use transparencies. If you don't have any, try replacing with vellum!

In the sketch featured left, you have several options to use transparencies.

  1. Try using them in blocks on top of patterned paper or cardstock.
  2. Try a "reverse" photo mat. Print out and trim a grey or coloured mat on a transparency sheet and place over your photo. Type your journaling on this mat in white.
  3. Create your tag out of a transparency sheet.

Use transparency sheets for each blocked section, and for the strip behind the main photo. The bottom boxes can be used for photos and journaling.

In this sketch, attach an 8.5" x 11" transparency sheet on top of 12" x 12" cardstock or patterned paper. Try placing your main photo beneath the transparency sheet and smaller photos or accents on top or a combination of some on top and some beneath the transparency.
